    Décembre 2001, une crise économique profonde frappe l'Argentine. À Buenos Aires, les patrons de la Brukman abandonnent leur usine de vêtements pour hommes. Les employés, pour la plupart des mères de famille, se retrouvent sans travail. Dans un geste audacieux, elles prennent possession de l'usine et lui redonne vie à leur manière.

    Troisième volet de la trilogie sur les médias de Pierre Carles, qui prendra comme exemple le journaliste Daniel Schneidermann en tentant de mettre en lumière des mécanismes de censure et de montrer l'effet nocif de la médiatisation sur les journalistes eux-mêmes.

    Le film traite des arguments en faveur du capitalisme et du progrès technique, comme une plus grande efficacité qui laisserait plus de temps et permettrait de moins travailler, pour au final juger que cet objectif n'est pas atteint.

    Cette conclusion est atteinte à travers un tour du monde passant entre autres par un retour sur les émeutes anti-G8 de Gênes de 2001, un panorama de la situation cubaine sous Fidel Castro et un reportage dans les chantiers de démantèlement de navires d'Alang.
